About Me

Hello, my name is Chris von Nieda.  Thanks for dropping by! I am a web developer, SEO and SEM.  About 15 years ago I saw the Internet for the first time and was immediately hooked.  Since then it has been my life, passion and hobby. 

In early 2008, I answered an ad in Craigslist that led me to a position with a young and growing Link Building and SEO company. I was hired as their first employee and played a considerable role in building the company up to where it was in May 2010: 16 employees and a reputation as one of the top SEO and Link Building companies in the US. During the 2 1/2 years I spent there, I gained an invaluable amount of education, experience and knowledge about SEO, Link Building and Internet Marketing and I led several initiatives that have resulted in the creation of a number of products and services they currently still sell today. In addition, I was responsible for heading up the development of the first web-based project management system the company used and several upgrades of the corporate website to the current versions, a customized WordPress theme. Eventually, I decided to move on and spend more time with my family which led me to the decision to freelance.

I was born in Portland, Maine and grew up on various parts of the East Coast including Maine, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Florida. I live in a little town about 40 miles west of Phoenix, AZ now with my wife Dallas and our kids.

After graduating high school in Mullica Hill, NJ I chose a career in the United States Marines as an aircraft mechanic. The Marines trained me to be a hydraulics mechanic on CH46 Sea Knight helicopters. You can recognize them as one of the very few dual rotor aircraft in the sky today. I was fortunate enough after basic training and school to find myself on my way to MCAS Tustin, CA located in beautiful Orange County, CA. Although I enjoyed my time in the Marines I realized a career in the military was not for me and didn’t want to spend the rest of my life covered in hydraulic fluid!

After getting out of the Marines I had many jobs including automobile sales, insurance sales, auto parts, network marketing and a laundry list of other jobs that gave me a ton of life experience. Eventually, I found myself working as a loan officer for a mortgage company in California.  One day I received an email that contained a link to the Internet (which I had not seen at this point). When I clicked it and saw the Web for the first time I knew at that moment what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

I immediately immersed myself in all things Internet related. I became so knowledgeable about the Web and computers I went on to become the Director of IT for that same mortgage company and was earning a six figure salary.

I started LenderTech in 2002 and began offering my services in my spare time to friends, family and anyone I met that needed help with their web-sites. I left the mortgage business and began my career as a web developer working from home.  I love the Internet and what it’s has done for me personally. In addition I love sharing it with others and teaching how to use the Internet to have fun and make business’s more profitable. Every day I get excited over the fact that I can communicate with people all over the country and world right from my home. I am just as enthusiastic today as ever and I am very confident my knowledge, skills, dedication and personal attention can be of great value to you or your business.
